A light and airy handloom Kota fabric in natural cotton adorned with floral design with an inner lining garment made in pure mulmul cotton and pin-tucked in threads for added beauty. The thamarai kulam (lotus pond) flowers are hand painted in water colour and illustrated before being printed on soft cotton Kota. The mulmul fabric is dyed in a soft buttery yellow and colourful threads of pink, yellow, and green from the lotus are used to pin-tuck the fabric. The kota is held together with a thin fine cotton lace which adds extra grace to this simple and delicate attire.
The kota is woven by hand - some minor irregularities seen are a result of the natural weaving process which adds to the beauty of this delicate weave.
